SUN. SAND. PARADISE. EXOTIC LOCALES… Sounds like the start of an infomercial? Instead, the images within a childhood dream. Fast forward to the ending of the first fulfilling career as a teacher of art and art history who has since been fortunate enough to live near the sea, visit many of the places written down on her bucket list, and paint within the Mediterranean and Caribbean-inspired areas visited across the globe. Act Two: Artist & Painter and Artrepreneur with a gallery/local studio and passion for exploring water-based media…and a mission of sharing my art with the world while helping others.

I am a Carolina girl with a heart of gold and a passion for color. I promised my Mama that I would follow the sun and that led me to where I am now.

I paint… vibrant soulful watercolors and acrylic canvases inspired by Mediterranean and Caribbean locales on my bucket list while listening to music.

I sketch… on location as much as possible, creating color notation sketches which I work from when I return to the studio.

I travel… where I paint. I have also painted where I’ve traveled.

I am… rewired. Yeah, baby, and wired for sound. Teaching art?  Been there, done that, worn that t-shirt.

I write… about life after teaching. The blog, “Livin’ La Dolce Vita…  Or Close To It” can be found here on my website.

I had… a loving, dedicated studio assistant, who happily shared my happy place until Fall of 2019.

I live… at the beach. Enough said!
